She was predeceased by: her parents, William Spivy and Joanna Spivy; her siblings, John Spivy, Douglas Spivy, Jo Ellen Haislip and Della Mae Rudd; and her daughter Sheila Fay.

She is survived by: her husband Foster Garrett of Pulaski; her daughters, Sheri Putnam (Steve) and Carla Tinnon (Greg); and her brothers, Allen Spivy (Elaine) and Gordon Spivy (Diane).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Fairview Church of Christ Youth Group.
