He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Sands and Shirley Lovell Sands; his wife JoAnn Sands; and his brother Winford Sands. He is survived by: his children, April Rose, Ritchie Sands (Kaye) of Pulaski and Keith Sands of Pulaski; his stepson Joseph McCandless; and his siblings-in-law, Francis Sands of Niceville, FL and Kenneth Walker of Lewisburg. He is also survived by nephews, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
