He is survived by: his wife Freda McCowan Oakley; his son George Douglas Oakley (Mandy) of Pulaski, TN.; his brothers, Charles Evan Oakley of Prospect, TN, James Donald "Don" Oakley (Sarah) of Goodspring, TN and Thomas Lynn Oakley of New Tazewell, TN; his granddaughters, Emma Oakley of Lawrenceburg, Makayla and Destiny Oakley of Chapmansboro, TN; his stepgranddaughter Lily Ganey of Loxley, AL; and his nieces and nephews, Derrek Oakley (Connie) of Louisiana, Evan Oakley (Angie) of Columbia, TN, Adam McCowan (Leanne) of Minor Hill, TN, Alan McCowan (Joy) of Trenton, GA, Suzanne Oakley (Christaphor Griffin) of Pulaski, TN, Christie Glover (Danny) of Goodspring, TN, Joy Valentine (P. J.) of Louisiana, Crystal McCowan of Ardmore, TN and Adrianna Christian (Micky) of Elkmont, AL.. He is also survived by Several great nieces and nephews many family members and friends.
