He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Marvin and Virgie Mae Eakes Winkles; his son Ernest Lee Winkles (Buddy); his granddaughter Stephanie Ann Winkles; his brothers, William Russell Winkles, Ernest Lee Winkles, Thomas Melvin Winkles, Marcus Ray Winkles, Carl Nelson Winkles, Jackie Miller Winkles and Troy Luke; and his half-brothers, Charlie Winkles and James Winkles.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Vraspir Miner (Flo); his children, Robert Marvin Winkles (Joyce) of Prospect, Kenneth Ray Winkles (Yvonne) of Union Grove, AL. and Pamela Elizabeth Crowe (Rickey) of Somerville, AL.; his stepchildren, William Ivan Miner, Sr. (Bill) of Readyville, TN, Mark Robert Miner (Sonya) of Readyville, TN and Diane Marie Schroer (Jeff) of Jacksonville, FL.; his brother Joseph Pierce Winkles (Pete) of Hazel Green, AL.; and his brother-in-law James B. Vraspir of Minnetonka, MN. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
