He was predeceased by: his parents, Hardy Eugene McCandless and Mary Frances Beard McCandless; and his siblings, Arthur Thomas, Tommy McCandless, Marie Scott and Gertie Anglin.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne McCandless of Primm Springs; his sons, Anthony Davenport (Erica) of Lewisburg and Thomas Davenport (Ashley) of Primm Springs; and his sister Charlie Lois Potts (Wallace) of Primm Springs. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
