He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Shular and Annie Creswell Shular; his son Michael; his brothers, Lynn and Don Shular; his grandson Adam Shular; and his great grandchild Brandon Shular.

He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his son Gary; his grandchildren, Steven (Sara), Matthew, Emily (David) and Aaron; his great grandchildren, Hunter and Peyton Shular; and his daughters-in-law, Shirley and Eileen.

The family asks that instead of flowers that donations be given to Powell United Methodist Church Building Fund.
