James Edward Sentell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Edward Sentell of Powell, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 6, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Pearl Sentell; his son Bryan Sentell; his parents, Hallie Sentell Weaver and Earl A. Sentell; and his siblings, Willie McCoy (Roy), Toni Ellis (Steve), John Weaver, Emma and Sid Sentell.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie Russell (Paul); his grandchildren, J. R. Russell (Derenda) and Jennifer Russell (Joe); his great grandchildren, Zachary, Joseph Long, Peyton and Sammy Russell; and his siblings, Shirley Manes (Bob), Howard Weaver (Ann) and Mike Weaver. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919). The military honors was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Angelic Ministries, 1218 N. Central Street, Knoxville, TN 37917, an organization that was close to James' heart.
