With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dallas L Stooksbury of Powell, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 85. In the sacred silence of farewell, Dallas is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dallas' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lon Stooksbury and Zena Stooksbury; and his son Dallas Vince Stooksbury. He is survived by: his wife Jessie Stooksbury of Powell, TN; and his sons, Scott Stooksbury (Jenny) of Clinton, TN, Mitchell Stooksbury (Gina) of Andersonville, TN and Marty Stooksbury of Powell, TN. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones Mortuary (375 N Main St, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Andersonville Cemetery.
