He was predeceased by: his father Carl Ruben Ward; his brother Charles Ward; and his son James Ward. He is survived by: his daughter Denise Gregory of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Leslie Pruitt of Westmoreland and Rhonda Whiticker of Westmoreland; his sisters, Shirley Jent of Gallatin, Lola Cole of Lafayette, Mary Edwards of Florida and Lena Trammel of Portland; and his sister-in-law Wanda Ward. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
