He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Boykins and Rebecca Clark-Boykins; his son Ronald Boykins; and his stepdaughter Easter J. Thurman. He is survived by: his sons, Samuel Boykins and Earl Sylvester Boykins (Kathy Boykins); his sister Eula Lewter (Charlie Lewter); his grandchildren, Lynn Boykins-Manley, Tiffany Boykins-Lee, Earl Boykins Jr. and Tanisha Boykins-Pearson; his stepson Robert Scharklet; and his siblings-in-law, Jearlean Turner, Delorise Lockhart and Ewing Turner (Ciji). He is also survived by grand children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
