He is survived by: his mother Barbara Ann Burnett (Hayes); his wife Shirley Fortner of Portland, TN; his children, Robert Gene Fortner (Lanna) of Portland, TN and Jamie Davis (Bill) of Bethpage, TN; and his grandchildren, Christina Henry (Kirk), Chris Smith, Stephen Fortner, Garrett Davis (Abigail), Logan Davis (Kenya), Meagan Shearon (Josh), Katlin Smith and Hannah Davis. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
