He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard T. Russell, Jr. and Hazel Perry Russell. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Russell of Portland, TN.; his children, Thomas Russell (Ceselie) of Covington, GA, Stephen Russell (Audrey) of Brush Creek, TN and Emily Williams (Grant) of Knoxville, TN.; his grandchildren, Julia, Alaina, Olivia, Amelia, Titus, Natalie, Timothy, Thomas and Evelyn; his brother Robert Russell (Melinda) of Murfreesboro, TN.; his nephew Michael Russell (Dawn); and his niece Angela Winnier (Glenn).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church, Carthage Africa School Project.
