He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard McKinley Heatherly and Louise McClura Travis Heatherly; his wife Christie Carol Miller Heatherly; and his siblings, James, Tom, Willard, Jr., Charles, Tony, Johnny Heatherly, Mary Francis Harper, Josephine Cox, Geneva Herndon and Carolyn Duggar.
He is survived by: his children, Wade Heatherly (Debbie) of Mayfield, Steve Heatherly (Kathy) of Huntsville, AL, Nathan Heatherly of Johns Island, SC, Lynn Apple (Rick) of Castalian Springs, TN, Hannah Martin (Tracy) of Gallatin, TN and Rachel Simmons (Billy) of Flintville, TN; his sister Elizabeth Anderson; his grandchildren, Greer Kennedy (Heather), Joshua Kennedy, Dalton Simmons, Andrew Simmons, Bryce Heatherly and Wyatt Heatherly; and his great grandchildren, Benton Kennedy, Evy Mae Kennedy, Nila Choate, Levi Choate and Ezra Choate. He is also survived by his family and friends.
