We are sad to announce that on June 21, 2023, at the age of 88, Patricia Jane Chalfant of Portland, Tennessee, born in Buckhorn, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ilie Rakes and Allena Rakes; her husband Richard Chalfant; her son Michael D. Chalfant; and her sisters, Sarah Gilbert, Rachel Kisac and Peggy Murphy.

She is survived by: her sons, Steven V. Chalfant (Laura) and Richard A. Chalfant; and her sister Iline Fugate (Ted). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
