It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Ruth Knowles Ferguson (Portland, Tennessee), who passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Knowles and Leafie Knowles; her husband David Ferguson; her daughter Nancy Ferguson; and her siblings, Sara Empson and Charles Knowles.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Witt, Larry of Portland and Stanley Ferguson of Portland; her grandchildren, Stephanie Paris of Bowling Green, OH, Jordan Ferguson of Knoxville, TN and Isabella Ferguson of Gallatin, TN.; her great grandchild Patton van der Merwe; her sister Carleen Fowlkes of Portland; and her sisters-in-law, Frances Green of Portland, TN. and Patsy Ferguson of Portland, TN.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
