It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Douglas Alford of Portland, Tennessee, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Condet Alford and Eunice "Toon" Alford (McDonald); his grandson Johnathan Scott; and his siblings, Lanny Alford and Lenda Mock.
He is survived by: his spouse Kim Alford of Portland, TN; his children, Chris Alford (Amy) of Gallatin, Jasper Alford (Kristin) of Portland, TN, Jordan Alford of Portland, TN and Amie Armstrong of Franklin, KY; his grandchildren, Triston Alford, Barrett West, Noah Alford, Isaiah Armstrong, Elijah Armstrong and Willa Jean Davenport; and his siblings, Billy Alford of Somerset, KY and Peggy Crafton of Franklin, KY. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory (325 W Cedar St, Franklin, KY 42134). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
