With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John McCormack of Portland, Tennessee, born in Cottontown, Tennessee, who passed away on December 22, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cartwright McCormack and Bessie Olean Hacket-McCormack; and his brother Billy McCormack. He is survived by: his wife Ivory Jean Mayes McCormack; his daughters, Phyllis Pirtle (Bryan) of Portland, Jeanna Dunbar (Mark) of Portland, Bonnie Deweese (Joe) of Franklin, KY and Jane Johnson (Lester) of Portland; his grandchildren, Luke Dunbar, Cayce Davis, Molly Omiyale, Ann Blackburn, Lindsey Dunbar, Sally Pirtle, Sammi Hoke and David South; and his siblings, Bob McCormack of White House, TN and Edna Allison of Northfork, VA.. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
