He is survived by: his children, Melissa "Missy" Carter Taylor (Tim) of Smith's Grove, KY, Kimberly Carter Lord (Cris) of Murfreesboro, Crystal Carter of Westmoreland, Mackenzie Coker (Clay) of Portland and Alex Kelley (Andrea) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Brockman Woods, Sam Woods, Megan Houston, Olyvia Lord, Eli Lord, Bryson Dowell, Chase Dowell (Kalayah) and Tyler Dowell; and his siblings, Shirley Carter of Portland, Joe Carter of Westmoreland and Jerry Carter of Westmoreland. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
