He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell B. Herbst and Wanda Waneta Herbst (McCaslin); and his children, Jim Herbst and Sheri Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Herbst; his son Jack Johnson (Yvonne) of Springboro, OH; his brothers, Gary Herbst of Lima, OH, Donald Herbst of Cridersville, OH and Robert Herbst of Van Wert, OH; and his pet Louise.
