It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jettie Ruth Jones of Portland, Tennessee, who passed away on June 5, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father J. C. Kirby; and her husband Steven Harold Downing. She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy Hardy (Tony) of Portland and Stephanie Downing (David Gilley) of Orlinda; her brother Tom Kirby (Rommy) of Hendersonville; her niece Megan Kirby; her nephew Jack Kirby; and her grandchildren, Shane Belt, Stephen Taylor (Shawn Evans), Symantha Riley (Josh), Dallas Ruiz, Hunter Holub, Michael Hardy and Austin Hardy. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
