He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Alton Davis and Mary Ellen Denning Davis; his former wife Bette Jean Davis; and his siblings, Mildred Wix, Hazel Davis, Lee Davis, Fred Davis, Jr. and Donald Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Gentry; his daughter Devita Simpson; his grandson Shane Simpson; his great grandchild Hunter Simpson; his sister Ann Story (William); his niece Brenda Browning; and his pets, Bella, Mia and Ollie.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Old Brush Cemetery (100 Old Brush Cemetery Rd, Portland, TN 37148). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
