We are sad to announce that on March 25, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Greg Gerwitz of Portland, Tennessee. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Greg may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Lee Gerwitz, Sr. and Georgia Frye Elder; and his brother Gordon Lee Gerwitz, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, James Richards (Rikki), April Donnell and Angela Gurley; and his brother Chuck Elder (Norma). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home (6316 Hwy 41 A, Pleasant View, TN 37146). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
