He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Prentice Simpson and Pauline Jacobs-Simpson; his brother Thomas Simpson; and his granddaughter Alexis Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Catrina Simpson of Portland; his children, Heather Oakley of Lebanon, Coty Simpson of Portland and Shae Simpson of Portland; his stepchildren, Evie Briley of Portland and Seth Briley of Portland; his grandchildren, Jonathon Simpson, Whalin Stewart and Kristal Stewart; and his sisters, Connie Moyer (Mike) of Portland and Sandra Simpson of Portland. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home (715 S Broadway, Portland, TN 37148). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
