He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Trouten and Della Ann Trouten; his siblings, Floyd, Leroy Trouten and Debbie Novak; and his grandson Patrick Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Trouten of Portland, TN.; his children, Basil Trouten Jr. (Karen) of Portland, TN, Mark Trouten of Cartersville, GA, Vincent Trouten (Catrina) of Cartersville, GA. and Roxanne Walker (Greg) of Franklin, KY.; and his sisters, Mary Lauderdale of Brookpark, OH, Linda Frates (Paul) of Jefferson, GA and Della Lofton (Sam) of North Ridgeville, OH.
