It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Nelson Burlew of Portland, Tennessee, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Burlew and Ethel Burlew (Bastian); his sister Kay Diedrickson; and his wife Alice Marie Burlew (Cundy). He is survived by: his close friend Alice Marie; his children, Richard Kenneth Burlew, Anthony James Burlew (Tara) and Jessica Louise Edwards; his grandchildren, Chris Benitez of Sean Burlew, T. J, Carillon, Alex Copley, Rowan Copley, Liam Burlew and Raevyn Edwards; and his siblings, June Breese, Pat Colloran, John Burlew and Joe Marshall.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made to the National Diabetes Association, or to the Wounded Warrior Project, in memory of Al.
