He was predeceased by: his father Oreste Carter; his wife Ann Marie Hayden Helm; and his brother Joseph Carter Helm. He is survived by: his children, David Helm (Adena) of Benton, John Hayden Helm (Chelsea) of Walnut Hill, Florida and Susan Gleaves (Dan) of Pleasant View; and his grandchildren, Katie Helm Andrews (Zach), Caroline Helm, Ashley Gleaves Anderson (Paul), Evan Gleaves (Melissa), Brian Gleaves (Lauren), Heather Gleaves Seals (Jon), Jason Gleaves, Landon Gleaves, Davin Gleaves, Hayden Helm, Clayton Helm and Cailynn Helm. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
