He is survived by: his wife Linda Smith; his son Phillip David Smith (Kathy); his grandchildren, Caitlin Smith, Daniel Lovell and Matthew Thomas; and his sisters, Paige Holt, Mable Cochran (Reese), Agil Howell, Bonnie Himes (Ronnie) and Helen Thomas.
