She was predeceased by: her father Alonzo; and her siblings, Buford, Jimmy and Gail Palmore. She is survived by: her husband Buddy Morris, Jr.; her children, Robert Hester (Iris), Randy Hester (Tammy) and Pam "Sissy" Brown; her grandchildren, Jessi Mealer (Michael), Ben Hester (Aliyah), Jeffrey Hester (Kyla), Danielle Hull (Troy), Bradley Brown (Allison) and Tyler; and her stepdaughter Christy Daniel. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
