She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hix, Jr. and Margie Kernall Overstreet. She is survived by: her husband Gary Keffer; her sister Beverly Tidwell (David); her niece Rebecca Tidwell; her nephews, Jeremiah Meyer (Hailey) and Joel Tidwell; her close friend Kathy Barrett (Ross); and her pet Magnolia "Maggie".
