She was predeceased by: her parents, Dalton McCulley and Stella Slicer Dean; her husband Dale Boyd; her son Jim Dean; her siblings, Louise Holtzclaw and Allen Dean; and her stepfather Monroe Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Dean (Louise), Sandra Wyatt (Tommy), Debra Boswell (Robert) and Karan Monroe (Mark); and her sister Juanita Whitehead. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
