She was predeceased by: her grandparents, James Cook and Anita Jenkins; her uncle Frank Arana; and her aunt Melissa Cook. She is survived by: her parents, Hettie Garrett (Scott) and Rosendo Arana Jr. (Leticia); her siblings, Sydney Morris, Rosendo M. Arana, Isabel Arana, Víctor Arana, Audrey Burleson and Bethany GamBrell; her nephew Benjamin Morris; her grandparents, Lupe Velasquez, Linda Cook and Rosendo Arana Sr.; and her aunts and uncles, Richard Arana (Christine), Perry Moses (James), Jimmy Cook, Mary Baxter (Tim), Michelle Cook, Michael Cook and Derric Jenkins.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in honor of Kayla.
