It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Chilcote (Pleasant View, Tennessee), born in Centerville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Newton and Lessie Morrison Fowlkes; her husband Walter E. Chilcote; and her brothers, James B. Fowlkes and Owen Fowlkes.
She is survived by: her children, John Chilcote (Lucretia) of Bellevue, Washington and Lucinda Tidwell (Bobby) of Bon Aqua; her sisters, Janie Grisham of Nashville, Peggy Claud (Joe) of Chapmansboro and Wylodean Pendergrass (Fulton) of Bon Aqua; her sister-in-law Carlene Fowlkes of Portland; and her grandchildren, Jeff Kemp (Amanda), Tammy Benefield (Marty), Wendy Strickland (Ty), Walter "Jay" Chilcote (Jamie), Raymond Chilcote (Lanie) and Joseph Chilcote (Melissa). She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
