He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Russell and Mary Moats Lamaster; his wife Nancy Hodges Lamaster; and his siblings, Betty Kuhnert (John), Margaret "Peggy" Harris (Chet) and Donald Lamaster.

He is survived by: his daughter Karen Hostetler (Jeff); his granddaughters, Leah and Alli Hostetler; his sister Janet Speck; his niece Sue Kuhnert Beggs; and also Corrine Mackley Lamaster. He is also survived by 4 step-daughters; 10 step-grandchildren; and 5 step-great grandchildren.
