He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Clyde Chapman and Virginia Helen Worley Chapman; and his close friend Sam Elliott. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Jenkins Chapman; his children, Cheryl Chapman (Kevin Melita) and Michele Keever (Chase) of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Rome Chapman (Dolores), Ronnie Chapman, Donnie Chapman (Becky) and Carolyn Cox (Bill); his grandchildren, Kaleb Hazelwood, Madison Hazelwood and Lance Larimer; his great grandchild Zander Hazelwood; his aunt Margaret Dolan (Bill); and his sisters-in-law, Diana Mashburn (John), Debbie Donaldson (Jim) and Chloe. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
