He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Cody" Foster and Mattie Herron Foster; and his siblings, George, Bill, Jim Foster and Helen Henderson.
He is survived by: his former wife Joan Green; his wife Irene Stewart Sapp; his children, Patton Foster (Lora), Philip Foster (Ginger) and Kathy Roberson (Jackie); his grandchildren, Veronica, Josh, Melissa, Bobby, Rachel and Chris; his great grandchildren, Wally, Zachary, Ethan, Justin, Rhett, Layla, Nolen, Luke, Lillie, Levi, Wells, Mia, Maeleigh, Gabe and Amina; and his stepdaughters, Carolyn Culver (Dave), Janet Ashburn (Doyle) and Ruth Burton (Gary). He is also survived by 13 step-grandchildren; 27 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
