He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Tate and Ruth Tate; and his sister Donna Ruth Tate. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Tate of Pikeville, TN; his children, Misty Thurman (Kelly) of Pikeville, TN and Jason Tate (Savannah) of Pikeville, TN; his stepdaughter Tammy Sapp of Pikeville, TN; and his siblings, Darrell Tate of Altamont, TN, Chris Tate (Meshia) of Dechard, TN, Michelle Miller (Michael) of Murfreesboro, TN, Darlene Tate of Altamont, TN and Anthony Campbell of Pikeville, TN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
