Etta Evelyn Stephens Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Etta Evelyn Stephens of Pikeville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Turner and Maggie Turner; her husband Jim Stephens; and her siblings, J. W. LaVaughn, Gary Turner and Betty Cooper.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki Frye (Randy) of Kingsport, TN and Karyn Angel (Ralph) of Pikeville, TN; her grandchildren, Ashley Boynton (Matthew), James Angel, Erin Frye and Will Frye; her great grandchildren, Javon-Turner Angel, Margo, Oscar, Miriam Boynton and Cooper Frye; her sister Phyllis Turner Johnston; and her sister-in-law Anna Margaret Stephens. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Pikeville-Bledsoe Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 205, Pikeville, TN 37367 (or dropped off at the Chamber office in City Hall), Mary V. Wheeler Elementary School Library, or Bledsoe County Nursing Home Activities Department.
