He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Summers and Essie Keener; his brothers, Reuben and Wendell Summers; and his niece Kerry Angel.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Summers of Pikeville, TN; his children, David A. Summers (Janet) of Pikeville, Billy Joe Summers (Karen) of Pikeville, Quentin Summers of Pikeville, Tina Dangler (Travis) of Dunlap, Jessica Partin (Russell) of Pikeville, Brandy Summers of Pikeville and Randy Summers of Dunlap; and his siblings, Hillard Summers of Pikeville, Kathy Summers of Pikeville and Carolyn Bragg of Dunlap. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Putnam-Reed Funeral Home (1171 Main St, Pikeville, TN 37367). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Collier Cemetery (Pikeville, TN 37367).
