He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Jane Cooley Angel; his parents, Newell Hondo Angel and Emma Pollard Worthington; his daughter-in-law Pat Angel; and his grandchildren, Nicole Angel and Noah Melton.

He is survived by: his children, William Angel (Crystal), Tim Angel and Theresa Adkins (David); his grandchildren, Will Angel (Amber), Trey Melton (Mary), Effie and Afton Adkins; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Brycen Angel, Connor, Westyn and Elijah Melton; and his brother Dion "Snake" Angel (Barbara). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
