He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eslinger and Martha Eslinger; his children, Lavonda Shultz and Michael Eslinger; and his siblings, Rule, Ralph Eslinger and Mary Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Cruze Eslinger; his sons, Paul M. Eslinger and Samuel R. Eslinger; his siblings, Ruth Wallin and Mayford Eslinger; and his nephew Eugene Eslinger. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
