She was predeceased by: her parents, William Arnold Carpenter and Anna Belle Riddle Carpenter; her husband Larry E. Irwin; and her sister Barbara Carpenter Ghattas. She is survived by: her son James C. Powell (Kristy); her siblings, Judy Hamby (Melvin) and Bill Carpenter (Sharon); her stepchildren, Shane Stork (Mike), Sissy Smith (Jimmy), Kelly Reaves (Steve) and Bryan Irwin (Leslie); her nieces and nephews, Cindy Landrian, Jennifer Landrian, Lea-Ann Kamionka, Skye Kamionka, Antonio Landrian, Billy Carpenter and Dustin Carpenter; and her friend Linda Hyatt Lominac (Johnny).
