He was predeceased by: his parents, Sim Carson and Artie Elizabeth Brown; his daughter Baby Sue Brown; his siblings, Ruth Maxine, Jyanell, Leola, Ernest and Calvin Brown; his granddaughter Branaeleah Addison Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Noah Parker, Lucy, Justina, Gabby Butler and Jaden Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Harriett Brown; his children, Shirley Hall (Vess), James Brown (Shirley) of Oliver Springs, TN., Richard Jr. Brown (Shelby), Bruce Brown (Kay), Katie Burchfield and Faith Phillips (Randy) of Petros, TN.; his siblings, Bernice Staggs of Nashville, TN and James Brown (Barbara) of Sunbright, TN; his grandchildren, Marsh A. Huckaby (Michael), James Hall (Tara), Stephanie Malone (Toby), James Jr. Brown (Daisy), Jessica Brown, Dorothy Richardson, Jason Dowdy, William Bradshaw, John Brown (Kristy), JJ Burchfield, Hailey Vespie (Trent), Brittany Phillips, Renee Strandridge (John), Christian Phillips (Ashley) and BJ Brown (Sunny); his son Calvin Brown (Iana); his great grandchildren, Karlie, Molly, Amieo, Allison, Kyndal, Connor, Macy, Phobe, Silvanna, Brandy, Sarah, Paul, Brayden, RJ, Neveah, Daniel, Abigail, Isiah, Isabella, Maddie, Mary Lou, McKinnly, Morgan, Cohen, Blake, Gabriel, Torvi, Bryson, Laikyn, Kendell, Addilyn and John Luke; and his great great grandchildren, Jasper and Daxton.
