He was predeceased by: his wife Adel Massengale; his parents, Emitt Massengale and Dicie Massengale (Phillips); and his siblings, Emitt "Bubby" Massengale, Mae Phillips and Jurline Martin.
He is survived by: his son Eddie Massengale (Urshula); his grandchildren, Samantha Lloyd (Adam), Sierra Bunch (Derek), Destiney Brown (Chase), Austinn Massengale (Emma) and Stella Barrett; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Emory, Callie, Carlie, Case and Adelynn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
