It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Bevels Chapman of Petersburg, Tennessee, who passed away on March 30, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Garland Bevels and Nina Mitchell Bevels; her husband James Thomas Chapman, Jr.; her siblings, Bobby Franklin Bevels, Elizabeth Bevels Drake and James Allen "Bub" Bevels; her nephew James Ronald Bevels; her great-nephew Scotty Wallace; and also Morgan Wolbert.
She is survived by: her nieces, Betty Wallace of Antioch and Barbara Bevels Jones (Ronnie) of White House; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Candice Schultz (Thomas), Megan Dobbins (Russell), Heather Black (Lendell), Ronica Wolbert (Jayson), Deana Bandy (David), Misti Watts (Scott), Mallory, Millie, Lawson, Violet, Asa, Mason, Joshua, Justin, Kannan Smith (Taylor), Asher and Wyatt Westin.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church Choir and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
