She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Manning Jolley and Lula Mae Bradford Jolley; her husband Charles Jevon Powell; her son Michael Powell; and her sister Opal Fain.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Powell (Linda) of Shelbyville, Betty Peoples of Shelbyville, Thomas Powell (Cynthia) of Shelbyville and Teresa Casteel of Petersburg; and her siblings, Elmer Jolley and Joanne Jolley. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
