He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Pat and Bessie H. Freeman Luna; his sister Marie Hale; his sons-in-law, Dennis Ring and Steve Morgan; and his great grandchild Quentin Luna.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Luna of Petersburg; his children, James Carl Luna (Debbie), Shelia Ring of Christiana, Carol Ann Morgan of Shelbyville, Richard Foster (Paulette) of Lewisburg, Sherie Lackey (Anthony) of Chattanooga and Tracie Stoica (Mircea) of Fayetteville; and his sister Jane Riner of Petersburg. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.
