He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Richardson and Clara Smith Richardson; his wife Nancy Winsett Richardson; his son Billy Joe Richardson; and his brother Fred Richardson Jr..
He is survived by: his brothers, Gerry Richardson (Cathie) of Petersburg, Larry Richardson (Patricia) of Petersburg and Leon Richardson (Nancy Morton) of Lewisburg; and his siblings-in-law, Lois McNeese (Wayne) of Lewisburg, Joyce Richardson of Howell, TN and Kenny Winsett of Lynchburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Petersburg First Baptist Church, 107 Church St, Petersburg, TN 37144.
