He was predeceased by: his father John William Murdock. He is survived by: his mother Mary Sue Talley Murdock; his wife Frances Scott Murdock; his son Andrew John Murdock, II; and his sisters, Susan Murdock of Petersburg and Cindy Murdock (Randy McQuiston). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
