He was predeceased by: his mothers, Teresa Bauer Sam and Della June Hammond Zimmer; his wife Josephine Brewer Zimmer; and his brother-in-law Joseph Garner. He is survived by: his children, Angel Mosley of Billy, Hoback of Pelham, Mark "Lucky" Kirk (Gabrial) of Pelham and Preston Ladd of Pelham; his siblings, Robert Carpenter, Peggy Carpenter Sutter, Judith Zimmer Rowe, Paul Zimmer, Penny Carpenter Till, Suzette Zimmer Smith, Samantha Sam Way and Aimee Zimmer Bajdo; his grandchildren, Paul, Douglas Justice, Destiny, Anna and Stacy Mosley; his great grandchild Kennedy Justice; and his siblings-in-law, Anna Myers (Tommy), Rose Ladd Hubbard (Sterling), Paul, Mark Garner, John Garner (Denise), Danny Garner (Annette), Billy Garner, Roger Garner (Jeanette) and David Garner (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grant Funeral Services (103 Peters Rd, Estill Springs, TN 37330). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
