She was predeceased by: her husband Sam Walkup; her parents, Alice Himes and Elgin Himes; and her brothers, Carl Hines, Clyde Himes, George, Bubba and Jackie Clark.
She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Walkup Jenkins; her grandchildren, Alex Jenkins (Kaitlyn) and Kiely Jenkins (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Stella, Bryson Jenkins (Alex) and Sejahari Watts (Kiely); her siblings, Lucy Melton (Willard), Claudine Upchurch (Brad), Peggy Nichols (Russ) and Larry Himes (Nancy); and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Price (Walter). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
